Prof. Dr. Aybala Yıldız

He was born in Ankara in 1981. He completed his primary and secondary education as an honor student at Ankara Private Büyük College and his high school education at Ankara Özel Arı Fen High School.
He studied at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and received his Medical Doctor title. He specialized in General Surgery at Ankara Dr. Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Oncology Training and Research Hospital between 2005-2010 and became a General Surgery Specialist, Associate Professor of General Surgery in 2015, and Professor of General Surgery in 2020.
He was at the Faculté de Médecine de l’Université de Paris and St Mary’s Hospital in London in 1999 and 2001, and conducted studies at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan in 2007. In 2014, he worked in Barcelona, Spain, within the scope of LLC Department of Continuing Education, on gastrointestinal cancers, and in Cape Town, South Africa, upon the invitation of IGCS (International Gynecologic Cancer Society). In 2022, he successfully passed the exam held by the European Society of Colorectal Surgery in Dublin, Ireland, and received the title of FEBS-Coloproctology, and was recognized in Europe in the field of colorectal surgery.
He continues to serve as the Head of the Department of General Surgery at the Health Sciences University Ankara Dr.Abdurrahman Yurtarslan Training and Research Hospital.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alp Yıldız

He was born in Kütahya in 1983. He continued his education in various cities due to his father’s job as a mechanical engineer. He completed his primary education in Kütahya, his secondary education at Konya Maarif College; and his high school education at Eskişehir Science High School, which he entered by earning a Turkish degree. He studied at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine between 2002-2009 and received his Medical Doctor title.
He became a General Surgery Specialist by receiving his General Surgery specialization from Gazi University Department of General Surgery between 2009-2015. While he was a General Surgery Assistant in 2011-2012, he worked on Breast Surgery with the approval of Vittorio Zanini at IRCCS Fondazione Salvatore Maugeri Hospital Pavia/Italy.
After his specialization, he turned to the field of colorectal surgery and proctology. He intensified his studies in this field and was accepted to the young surgeons branch of the European Society of Colorectal Surgeons (ESCP), the ‘’young ESCP’’. In this context, he actively participates in all ESCP organizations, including 2016 Rotterdam and Milan; 2017 Berlin; 2018 Nice and 2019 Vienna. In 2016, he worked in the field of colorectal surgery at the University of Birmingham, England, and took part in the Intestinal Stoma Sub-committee led by the University on behalf of Gazi University Faculty of Medicine. He also served as an organizer in the 2018 and 2019 London organizations, which were the continuation of this project.
